The MOON is the EARTH's only natural satellite. It circles
the EARTH once every 27 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes and 11 seconds,
and circling the SUN in tandem with the EARTH. Lit by the SUN,
the MOON appears to grow and decrease in size, to wax and wane.
Everything that flows on our planet seems to move to the waxing
and waning rhythm of the MOON: the oceanic tides, the weather,
the life fluids in plants and animals, and the mood swings of
the mind and emotions. The LUNAR CYCLE begins every 27 days with
the NEW MOON, so go with the flow and start a new cycle of your
own! Here are some lunar influences which you might want to think
about the next time you look up at the night sky.
NEW MOON
Start your own new cycle, give it a jump-start with the NEW MOON.
This is a good time to sew the seeds of new ventures, and also
to resolve outstanding issues.
NEW MOON to FULL MOON
Get inspired for progress, allow changes to take place, be spontaneous
and see where your intuition takes you. Whatever patterns are
established during this WAXING MOON phase will continue to develop
throughout the LUNAR CYCLE.
FULL MOON
We are powerfully affected by just before a FULL MOON. This is
a period of frustration and overwhelming emotion, but it also
illuminates the potential of the coming NEW MOON. If the past
obstacles have been overcome with a positive attitude during
the last WAXING MOON, the FULL MOON can bring a fulfillment.
FULL MOON to NEW MOON
Your awareness is calm and open, and this can be the time of
release in which all emotion and energy accumulated during the
WAXING MOON climaxes full-force as creative expression.
SOLAR ECLIPSE
This occurs only at the time of the NEW MOON. You may find yourself
to be in an oppressed mood, and emotion out of insecurity may
cloud your judgment.
LUNAR ECLIPSE
You may find yourself in a reflective mood, often intuitive and
inspired.
